Neuroscience is my professional and private passion. The brain is a formidable computing device, and I believe we are on the verge of putting the myriad pieces of the puzzle together. Quantitative, computational & genetic tools are clearly the key for going from massive data to theories.

I started my research group as an assistant professor at the Institute for Neurophysiology, part of the Donders Institute for Neuroscience in the Netherlands (Nijmegen). Research in the lab is focussed on multisensory integration during natural behavior.
